A free celebration of the Mexican tradition of el Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at All Saints Episcopal Church in East Lansing.
The event will feature traditional Mexican foods, live mariachi music, dancers and a special altar upon which to place mementos and pictures to honor of departed loved ones.
Last year's event attracted nearly 250 people from the greater Lansing and East Lansing community.
